Who We Are...

Through Their Eyes Rescue, Inc. is a New York based Non-Profit Organization founded in March of 2009 in the hopes of saving the lives of homeless animals.

One of our goals is to give some insight into the mind and life of a dog. Their sole purpose is to please you. They are there for you through thick and thin. They will comfort you when you're sad, laugh with you when you're happy and protect you when you're in need. When they are not with you, they count the seconds until they can see you again.

When you adopt or rescue a dog from a shelter, they have an innate sense that you have saved their lives and they, in turn, dedicate the rest of it trying to repay you for your kindness. Before you have rescued them, they, most often, have had an extremely hard life.

Most are neglected by their previous owners, if not outright, mistreated, abused and/or beaten, unloved and unvalued. In the shelter, they spend their days and nights wishing someone will tell them what they did wrong and wait for their owner to come take them home. It is an amazing thing to see how much love and forgiveness these dogs still hang on to even after being left at the shelter where their fate hangs in the balance. They long for a warm touch and gentle voice to reassure them that they will go home soon. We cannot understand their language but 'Through Their Eyes' they tell us their story.
